Life Story
Your story, placed back into the world.
Every life carries a unique story.
A childhood, encounters, choices, hardships, joys. A singular way of inhabiting an era and of looking at the world.
Once told, this story becomes a link between generations.
The life story is for those who wish to pass on their history to their children, grandchildren or loved ones, and to preserve a family memory that might otherwise disappear.
Often begun by the person themselves or offered by their loved ones, this project allows a life journey, memories, values and a view of the world to be passed on.
Transmission guides you in building this story together, at your own pace and according to your needs, then in producing an audio recording meant to be kept and passed on.
A few reasons to begin
- Pass your history on to your children or grandchildren
- Preserve a family memory
- Tell a life journey, a migration, a singular trajectory
- Leave a lasting trace of your voice and your memories

The life story begins long before the recording.
How it works
- 01
Meeting
We get to know each other. We talk about what matters to you, what you wish to pass on and the people this story is meant for.
- 02
Interviews & narrative thread
Several sessions, the time for memories to surface, for themes to emerge and for the threads of your story to appear.
- 03
Co-creation
The narrative thread is refined through our exchanges until it finds its truest form.
- 04
Recording
In studio in Paris or remotely, depending on your situation and preferences.
- 05
Editing & mix
Every voice, every silence, every breath is worked on with care.
- 06
Delivery
The story is delivered to you as an object designed to last and to be passed on.
Transmission guides you through a genuine narrative co-creation: several long interviews, exchanges, the time for memories to surface and for the story to take shape.
Where relevant, this work can also draw on historical, sociological or genealogical research, placing an individual trajectory back into its era and context.
The result, carefully edited, is delivered to you as an object designed to last — and to be passed on.
The length, the number of interviews, the scope of the story: everything is defined together, according to what you wish to leave behind.
This project can also be part of an intangible heritage approach. Transmission works with partners to make it accessible within that framework.
