Passing on should not be a privilege.

We believe that everyone should have the chance to pass on their story, their voice, their memories and what matters to them.

Yet illness, grief, isolation or social inequality deprive many people of this possibility.

Transmission was born from the conviction that these stories hold human, family and collective value. That they help preserve bonds, pass on points of reference and build a sense of belonging between generations.

That they can repair.

Through the projects we support today, we also work to make these journeys accessible to more families and to develop public-interest initiatives around storytelling, memory and transmission.

Public-interest projects

The Sound Portrait project was imagined to preserve the memory of a parent who has passed away and to pass it on to their children. We want this possibility not to be reserved only for the families who can afford it.

Transmission also develops collective projects around storytelling, memory and transmission: memory of a place, intergenerational projects, stories of patients, carers or families.

Today we are exploring different forms of cooperation with foundations, associations, patrons and institutions that share this conviction: stories have value and deserve to be passed on.

Institutions and organisations

Alongside material heritage there exists another inheritance, often just as precious.

That of the stories, the values, the memories and the voice of those who built a family, a community, an organisation or a life journey.

Transmission supports the preservation of this intangible heritage so that it can be passed on, understood and inhabited by the generations that follow.

Let's build together

If this vision of transmission resonates with yours, we would be glad to imagine together what it could make possible — for families, communities or organisations.
